We America’s citizens have witnessed the Inauguration ceremonies of the President and Vice President of the United States for more than two hundred years. Our first president, George Washington, was inaugurated in New York City, in 1789. Today, in our classrooms we will watch the 56th Presidential Inauguration. This event represents the best of our county; is a tribute to the continuity of leadership that makes our country truly remarkable. We ask for blessings and help for our new President and Vice President to lead the land we love.
